​    Dr. Fauci is being made the scapegoat for the 1st Trump Administration’s disastrous mishandling of the COVID pandemic. The Orwellian attempt at rewriting history to excuse Trump’s scandalous behavior at the beginning of it. We all heard his voice as he told Bob Woodward in a phone call in early on February 7, 2020.  In that recorded conversation, Trump told Bob Woodward: “ This is deadly stuff… It goes through the air… That’s always tougher than the touch… You just breathe the air and that’s how it’s passed. And so that’s a very tricky one. That’s a very delicate one. It’s also more deadly than your, you know, your even strenuous flus.” “This admission—made a full month before the WHO declared a pandemic and while Trump was publicly downplaying the virus—was revealed when Woodward released the audio ahead of his book Rage in September 2020.” Trump  decided not to reveal any of this to the public till March 2020. ​ The Forgotten  Candle I came away from Donald Trump’s appearance at the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Dinner with one overriding thought. What an asshole. Trump looked like a forgotten orange candle left burning too long on a dresser, softening, sagging, slowly melting into itself. There was no presidential presence, no dignity, no humility, no recognition that he was standing before the very people charged with documenting history in real time. There was only vanity. Endless vanity. A man who has mistaken attention for respect, applause for legitimacy, and grievance for governing. Even he seemed to realize he was bombing. ​ I was going to put a standard Happy Birthday post here today but decided it would have been dishonest. The truth is America is definitely not a Happy Place on its 250th birthday for a great majority of its population. Having fought a successful Revolution against Monarchy and a Civil War to expand that Revolution by removing its cruel system of human slavery today we find ourselves in the hands of a reactionary regime headed by a would be Dictator supported by a cult of stupidity and incompetence. Worse yet the rest of us appear powerless to stop them. Where this is all headed is the big question? We are clinging precariously on the edge of the chasm of tyranny and oppression and I can’t honestly say we won’t plummet into it. Can you?

​ I can’t stop thinking we’re living through the real life version of the 80’s cult classic Revenge of the Nerds but with a sickening plot twist where the Jocks / Alpha Betas and the Nerds Lamba Lamba Lamba fraternitys join up in the now to take over society.

​ Memorial Day weekend 2026 Sadly we find ourselves in a War that nobody wants.  Even worse our so called President deliberately stole 2 billion dollars from us to reward the thousands of violent criminals that attempted to overthrow our government on January 6th 2021. This to add insult to injury having pardoned them all last year. They having done it all under his leadership. Justice betrayed by a criminal and a corrupt traitor.

​ 56 years ago on the very 1st Earth Day I was a student at the University of California Irvine. On that Memorable day I had the honor to meet Ralph Nader one of the most famous Environmentalists of that era. He was the guest speaker that day. I barely recall what he had to say. But I do remember his statements about the dangers of automobiles to the environment specifically there deadly contributions to air & water pollution. He also mentioned it’s contributing to the eventual warming of the atmosphere by the massive amounts of greenhouse gases it was adding to it. The truth is scientists knew even before 1970 the facts of Global warming, even as far back as far as the early 19th century. Sadly, many of Ralph’s predictions that 1 st Earth Day are now coming true and we can only hope our children & grandchildren won’t judge my generation too harshly for our failures to mitigate the worst of those predictions.

​ Anthropic creator of the popular AI Claude has decided not to deploy its latest AI Mythos because of security concerns after Mythos violated its own built in programming against doing certain things unprompted in a test environment. Alarmed they shutdown the system and changed how they are going to use it. This might indicate we are reaching the safe limits of the present AI development process.

​ Margate proudly hosts the World’s no. 1 Roadside attraction Lucy the Elephant a 140 year old tin pachyderm located on the beach @ Atlantic ave. Built to attract potential buyers of real estate in what was then South Atlantic City. It was obviously wildly successful in that regard. If you’re visiting Absecon Island don’t miss her. Lucy is registered as a National monument.
