Welcome back to the 50’s! - Foreign Affairs

I've been trying to imagine what the next four years of American foreign affairs is going to look like and I keep finding myself back in a darker version of the 1950s. Except in one way. Back in the 1950s we were deadly enemies of Soviet Russia but in today's version we are essentially a Russian client state. I won't be surprised if Trump drops out of NATO after forcing the Ukraine to surrender. This will allow Russia to rearm while threatening other ex-Soviet countries like Poland & the Baltic Republics. Welcome to WW3? Maybe,or maybe western Europe now NATO sans the US but plus Finland & Sweden decldes to try and come to some kind of cold peace with a now aging Putin. Meanwhile, Trump will be advised to turn his wrath on China. I expect the middle east to stay boiling with us still Israel's ally. With Assad's regime gone Iran will find itself iolated & vunerable. While all this is happening the planet will continue to heat up even faster as the US goes back into deep denial over this reality. More years lost in the battle to switch from fossil fuels to alternative energy sources. The results are somewhat predictable rising sea levels acelerate and eventually the AMOC shut down occurs. Along America's east coast the Gulf stream already slowing moves into the coast rising sea levels by as much as 6 ft. What the atmosphere does here is still unknown? My guess is it will become warmer & wetter at first but eventually colder and stormier as Northern Europe goes into a deep freeze that is likely to last thousands of years. In the Southern Hemisphere though it will continue to heat up and areas in Australia & India might become uninhabitable. These changes are already baked into the coming decades no matter what we do now Trump will probably just make it worse.
