Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - A dark Fairy tale
We went to see Quentin Tarantino’s new movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood last evening. It was disappointing, to say the least. It was essentially an extremely disturbing and distorted take on the late 60s when he was 6 years old. It’s an attempt to equate Charlie Mansion’s murderous gang Of misfits with an entire generation and with “Hippies” specifically, was both ugly and claustrophobic, plus it was historical nonsense. Manson’s openly stated goal was to start a race war. He carved a Swastika on his forehead! I’ve tired of Tarantino’s mix of Alt. History, and ultra-violent endings with improbable heroes. This movie, in particular, is a terrible mix of Alt. History novelist Harry Turtledove and a 3 rd rate 60 s horror movie like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Enough Q move on we get it but it’s not funny or worse entertaining anymore.
