​ Margate proudly hosts the World’s no. 1 Roadside attraction Lucy the Elephant a 140 year old tin pachyderm located on the beach @ Atlantic ave. Built to attract potential buyers of real estate in what was then South Atlantic City. It was obviously wildly successful in that regard. If you’re visiting Absecon Island don’t miss her. Lucy is registered as a National monument.
