WHALES & WINDMILLS

  The latest irrational campaign against science and reason on the political right has tried to tie the recent deaths of some Whales to plans to build local ocean placed Windmills for the production of clean electricity. Facts mean little to these people. Ocean placed Windmills exist in other parts of the World with no Whale deaths but they ignore this. They claim the use of sonar by the Windmill companies doing surveys is causing the Whale deaths. There is no proof of this. Instead, Marine biologists point to collisions between Whales & Ships, fishing nets and illness as the various causes of the Whale deaths. One thing is for sure no Whales died because of Windmills out there because they don’t exist!
