WALKING

The past 8 months I've turned my attention to making sure I do at least 4 to 5 or more walks a week. My average walk is now 4 miles and sometimes I'll walk as much as 7 miles. I jog as well for part of these walks. This activity level plus a limited calorie regimen has helped me lose 15 lbs. and I hope to keep it off in this way. What I'll do when winter arrives is another thing. It's not as simple though as it looks. As I've lost the weight it's taken more activity to get the same results and I've also had to gradually lower my caloric intake as well. I'm almost at my ideal BMI weight now and have been trying to get my weight to level off. So far this has had mixed results and I've been trying to figure out a formula for doing this. If anyone has suggestions please send them on.

  1. Sounds really good Glenn. We have a dog, we do a lot of walking and periodically I go for a walk/run too. I've cut out gluten, sugar, saturated fat, and dairy food with the exception of eating something called the budwig diet which is organic lowfat cottage cheese blended with flaxseed oil and ground fresh flaxseeds. The proportion is 3 tablespoons flaxseed, 3 tablespoons cottage cheese, 1 1/2 tablespoons flaxseed oil. It's all online. The budwig is about cancer prevention. Another thing that helps with weight is to stop eating very early evening and then to eat again the next morning leaving a 12 hour gap. Here's a budwig link - https://thetruthaboutcancer.com/budwig-diet-protocol-cancer/
