Jane Fonda at Sunday evening’s SAG awards accepting an award for lifetime achievements for her long career in acting. Fonda also used the moment to promote the actor’s unions themselves. She also spoke directly to the potentially perilous political environment the Industry now finds itself under an increasingly hostile regime in the nation’s capital. She decried the regimes lack of empathy and it’s cruel agenda.

Timothee Chalamet took home the best actor trophy at the SAG Awards last evening for his role as a young Bob Dylan in the recent film about Dylan “A Complete Unknown.” He deserves it.

Does anyone doubt this now?? Trump has been a Russian agent since the mid-80s.

It’s COLD out!! Punxsutawney Pete saw six more weeks of winter on Feb. 2nd and today it looks like he got it right. In reality, it’s been a mixed bag this winter with a few snow storms so far, & some frigid weeks in January, but we’ve also had some relatively mild dry weather as well. With another snow storm coming later this week the weather will stay wintry for atleast another week here in Southern NJ. Then comes March the most unpredictable month of all.

Actually, there’s no President’s Day officially. In 1971 Washington’s Birthday was moved to the 3 rd Mon. In Feb. & merged with Lincoln’s Birthday and has been unofficially called President’s day ever since. Only Delaware doesn’t observe it.

Went to see the Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown” last evening. During it I realized that prior to 1965 & the release of his Masterpiece album “Hiway 61 revisited”, I hadn’t really been a fan of his music. Dylan is an iconoclastic artist and probably the greatest American musician and songwriter of the 20th century. He is the only Songwriter to win the Nobel prize for literature for his music. The movie is long at 2 hrs & 21 minutes but I found it riveting and the time flew bye. All in all it’s an excellent movie about someone extremely well known and almost all his other famous & well known friends and colleagues.

Cruelty isn’t a bug of Trumpism it’s a feature. America has freely chosen evil and not for the 1st time. It’s no accident Pres. Andrew Jackson is a Trump favorite bc Jackson ignored the Supreme Court & ethnically cleansed 100s of thousands of Native Americans. To be fair President Roosevelt did something similar when he threw hundreds of thousands of Japanese Americans into Concentration camps during WW2 but he didn’t throw Italian Americans or German Americans into those camps did he. The difference was to it’s disgrace the Supreme Court allowed him to do it! A slave owning State from day one, that has repeatedly denied great segments of its population their rights America is at best a deeply flawed country. One that is hardly democratic and is now sadly, barely even a Republic.

TruMusk surrenders the Ukraine to Russia. Putin still wants Alaska back TruMusk are considering it.

We now have a Government by Gangsters. Trump & Musk have absolutely no respect for the rule of law and are hell bent on establishing a Dictatorship on top of an Oligarchy of billionaires. Putin, Orban and other authoritarian leaders have been schooling them on how to go about it.

Here’s ( pictured above) your new Government folks. Elon Musk warned us years ago that these amoral machines would eventually take over and they have with Elon using them to that end. He’s placing this thing at the heart of our Government’s checkbook and he’s going eventually use it to decide who gets paid out and who doesn’t. It’s legally NOT supposed to work that way but the law means nothing to those people now. The SCOTUS essentially made Donald King last year so even if Elon breaks the law and is convicted he’ll just pardon him. Conversely, the rest of us will face the fascist version of law & order where if we jwalk & are arrested & convicted we do 5 years in a federal jail.

It’s been a really crazy week here in the new kingdom of TruMuskia but the craziest thing our madman King Donald J TruMusk presented the world was Gaza as a new TruMusk real estate development.

Elon Musk & his Ai armed squad of teenage hackers are literally rampaging through various agencies of the Federal Government stealing public data and threatening to destroy entire Departments; all of this on the orders of TruMusk. They are aiming their knives at the USAID agency, the Education Department, Medicare/Medicaid/ ACA & very likely Social Security. They claim that this is about massive fraud in these organizations but it’s really part of Project 2025 to gut the so called Social Safety Net Programs the GOP has wanted to end for decades. Will they get away with it this time? Maybe. If they do my prediction is an economic collapse by summer.
